Property news
A recent study and calculation has shown that the next generation may need to spend their entire lifetime paying off their mortgage. Each year property prices are increasing significantly, with a huge rise in deposit prices, younger buyers will be finding it much more difficult to buy a property. It is also this week that Belfast will be holding their Property of the Year awards, announcing winners at a gala event.

Sports news
Very sad news this week as it is announced that Rugby player Jonah Lomu has died at the age of 40. Also in Rugby, Eddie Jones has been confirmed as the New England Coach. In Football transfer news, Manchester United are willing to offload Fellaini but have their eyes on Sane who currently plays for Schalke 04. Also this week the two matches Belgium v Spain and Germany v Netherlands were cancelled as an imminent response to a bomb scare.

Music News
Adele’s new hit album has gone on sale with high hopes to save records and stop online music. The singer has refused for her album ‘25’ to be on Spotify or any other streaming site. David Bowie is back in business and released a brand new music video for his new single named ‘Blackstar’. The video promises to be all kinds of wacky and wonderful!

TV and Film
In film, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay part 2 has finally hit cinemas and is said to be the best chapter yet! Also in cinemas this week, Spectre, the new James Bond film, continues to do fantastically as it breaks box office record with an opening gross of £6.3m.

As for TV news, social media has gone wild over X-factor presenter Olly Murs messing up in the live shows. There are many suspicions of the show being a ‘fix’, due to Olly announcing which singer would be leaving the show – before he was given the envelope holding the name! Also, ITV’s show I’m a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here has welcomed 3 new reality TV stars from TOWIE, Geordie Shore and Made in Chelsea.

World News
The Paris terror attacks are still leaving the world in lingering fear as more bomb scares arise. Officers raided an apartment in Paris and believe they have found and killed the main planner of the attacks, Abdelhamid Abaaoud. On a more positive note, the World’s second biggest diamond has been found in Botswana. It is said to be of 1,111 carat quality.
